Senior Citizens Party - January 2019

May Fair - 6 May 2019

A bright but chilly start to the May Fair but with blue sky and a little sun. Even as it clouded over in the afternoon the crowds braved the chill and stall holders wrapped up warm. There were a wide variety of stalls and rides for the children and a packed programme, detailed in the Programme sponsored by Martell's, throughout the day. The Mayor Rex Whittaker opened the event and the East Grinstead Concert Band struck up followed by the East Grinstead Ukuleles. Hipsinc gave us a display of Belly Dancing followed by music from inChoir, Urban City Dance, Singsters, Mr Bonx and Vegas Nights. We then had the crowning of the new May Queen Holly Carr aged 8 years, the handing over of cheques and shields to the successful participants of our recent Swimathon, which was sponsored by McDonald's and the lucky winners of the 200 Club Star Draw. This was followed by the Ariel Academy Singers, Nadia & Peter and the TS Resolution Marching Band. The pictures show a variety of shots of the event including the childrens entertainment provided by David outside Sackville College, the new Lions Transport for attending such events and our programme sellers from the Rotary Club.
