The Communiy Service Committee considers all requests made directly to the Club from the local community for help and assistance and we also actively seek any situation where we can help any individual, club or organisation. If you are aware of any situation where some additional help is needed please let us know by using the Contact Us page.
Prostate Cancer FREE PSA Test 23rd November 2019
East Grinstead & District Lions Club In conjunction with PCaSO, are again sponsoring and arranging a FREE PSA test in November for Men between the age of 45 to 80. Note: If you are at special risk – have a family history of prostate cancer or are of African-Caribbean descent, we will test from age 40. We do not encourage men over 80 to be tested, unless clear symptoms are present. For further advice phone 0845 650 2555.
The event will be held at: East Court Mansion, College Lane, East Grinstead, West Sussex. RH19 3LT

Please select a time, scroll down, click the “Continue Registration” button, then complete the form. Required fields (with a red asterisk) must be filled to complete the registration.
After submitting the form you should see a Thank You page including a link to Print your ticket and with your unique registration code. Your registration is confirmed at this point. If you can print out the ticket and bring it with you to the Event, it will save you time on arrival as we can check you in faster. If you do not see the Thank you page your registration is not confirmed. Please email [email protected] and we will assist.
You will also receive a confirmation email including the link to “print your ticket”. Please check that the email has not been placed in your junk mail folder. If you do not receive it after 24 hours please let us know at [email protected] and we will investigate and re-send the email. An email reminder will be sent out three days prior to the test event.
The event in 2018 was a great success with over 340 men being tested. Please look out for further advertising in the Autumn.

Community Services 2019
With the people of East Grinstead's help we have funded a wide range of projects and we will show below is just a sample of some of them made during 2018. Some events are held every year and have become part of the East Grinstead calendar. Providing this level of service support is only achieved thanks to the generousity of those in the East Grinstead area in supporting our fund raising activities. We thank you most sincerely.
|Provided funds for Message in a Bottle a method of ensuring that people helping in an emergency are able to quickly understand the medical condition of the person and what medicines they take.|
The annual Senior Citizens' Party for approximately 200 people will be held on 26th January from 2pm until 5pm. at the Sackville School, Lewes Road, East Grinstead.

Special Needs Holidays - a new service
Holidays - for the the future we are taking a different approach to the provision of holidays for people with special needs who would not normally be able to find or afford a suitable holiday which provides the right level of support. We will be liaising with specialists in our community to identify the most needy people. Please use the Contact Us page if you wish to discuss this with us.
|Provided a spectacle and hearing aid recycling scheme. East Grinstead Lions collect old discarded spectacles from the main opticians in East Grinstead (Alexanders, Aurthur Hayes, Scrivens, Vision Express, Boots, Specsavers, Doctors Surgeries and the Queen Victoria Hospital which are then sent to the Lions main sorting office in Chichester where they are cleaned, sorted and graded and sent to developing countries to help improve sight and hearing.|
